THE PRODUCT
You sense of smell is one of the most prominent and highly developed. Smells enhance experiences and bring along with them the memories tied to those moments in your life.

BEGINNING IDEAS
The design process began by imagining the perfect bottle and cap combination. It seemed fitting for the outer covering of the bottle to be a broken heart holding the fragrance. The cap was a simplistic square with an extruded X on the front and back.

INSPIRATION
Through this mood board I wanted to capture the elements and feelings that the product would exude to costumers. The comfort of sitting on a porch, the joy found in simple activities like a ferris wheel ride or lighting a sparkler. The memories attached to places and things associated with love gone right and love gone wrong. These things are relatable and common ground for most of the target audience for this product.

REASONING FOR THE PACKAGING
Throughout the design process we wanted to make sure that the box wouldn't clash with the bottle. We also wanted to have our logo, tag line and something fun to catch people's attention. The different shades of blue tie in with the meaning behind the product. We wanted to include the sparkles on the side of the box for something fun and different. The cut out on the front of the box perfectly displays and gives a clear visual of our bottle.

BRANDING GUIDE
Here is our initial thought process on what we wanted to convey though the packing of our perfume bottle. Our company name was designed to represent the "break up" and then we would have a different logo to represent the idea of a small town. Hence why we choose the shape of a road sign. The main colors used were the light blue, dark blue, and white with pink and green being accent colors used in the mood board. Our tagline "Small Town, Big Deal" is used to capture the essence of how growing up in a small town doesn't mean much to people except to the ones who have lived there all their life.

FINAL PRODUCT
In the end, we came up with the perfect product that would express all of our initial ideas. We wanted the box to be easy to open and for the bottle to be seen so costumers would know what they are buying. Our logo, company name, and tagline are all on the front for anyone to see and the colors on the box go with the colors on the bottle.
